On the introduction of amendments and supplements
to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan (extractions)
Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan August 30, 2002 No. 405-II
The Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan has resolved as
follows:
II. The eight Part of Article 9 of Law of the Republic of
Uzbekistan dated May 6, 1994 "On legal protection of computer programs
and databases" (Gazette of the Oliy Majlis of the Supreme Soviet of
the Republic of Uzbekistan, 1994, No. 5, Art. 136; Gazette of the Oliy
Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2002, No. 4-5, Art. 74) is stated
as follows:
"Patent fees are levied for legal actions associated with the
registration of computer programs and databases and the registration of
agreements on the assignment of property rights to use computer
programs and databases. Patent fees are paid to the Patent Office.
Rates and terms of payment of patent fees, grounds for exemption from
their payment, fee cuts or their refund, as well a procedure for the
use of patent fees are specified by the Cabinet of Ministers of the
Republic of Uzbekistan".
